Packing for this trip has been a process. I have two suitcases that I still have to take a few pounds out of to make 50 pounds. It's hard to pack your life into a couple of suitcases for three months, especially when you need jackets, a rain jacket, sweaters, boots, rain boots, and pants. If it were summer weather, I wouldn't have a problem! I'm almost done, and I'm sure it'll turn out fine by tomorrow.... (Mom, I may need a few things mailed to me.)
Speaking of weather, it's not going to be any bit warm in Newcastle. And if you know me, you know that I love the sun and the sand. But I'm sure I'll get adjusted. The high there is supposed to be about 60 F and after September and October, I'm pretty sure it's going to be in the 30s and maybe 40s most of the time. And not to mention, it's apparently going to rain.. a lot. Great.
I'm studying Biology at Newcastle University while I'm over there to continue on my track to medical school. However, I'm not sure exactly what classes I'll be taking because we don't register for classes until our second week in Newcastle. I'm hoping that everything works out. More of that to come later. I'm also living on campus in a six-person flat (an apartment) owned by the University. I'll be living with my friend Julie and 4 other British students!
I'm so excited to begin my journey from A to B! I'm going to try to keep updating this blog as much as possible while I'm in Newcastle so I can look back on all of my experiences, and so I can share everything with all of you! :)
I'm going to miss everyone here in America! I'll talk to you again when I'm across the pond!
